Miners' Day in Park City traditionally opens with the fun and unique Miners' Day Bark City 5k, with dogs and humans hitting the trail. This year will be a little different as Park City Twilight Rotary shifts gears and takes the race online! Yes, that's right - you can still kickoff your own Miners' Day with a virtual 5k run.
Best of all, you can do your run anywhere. If you're in town, run the traditional Miners' Day 5k course. If you're on a secluded beach, take the dog out for a run.
Just do your run on Monday morning, Sept. 7. Send your time and photos (dogs are optional but welcomed) to the Bark City 5k website.
You will still sign up online, but on the morning of the event, you simply pick your favorite 5k route, run on your own or with friends, and then post your times either manually or by syncing your Fitbit or other timing device along with any photos of your race. Finishing times, photos and other information will be posted on the official race site. This year's event is being produced by Park City Twilight Rotary with 100% of the proceeds going back to community causes. This is a great way to get some exercise, have some fun, and support the community when it is needed most.
